Built in 1905, this classicist building was constructed to coincide with the opening of the Gran Vía de Colón, an event that notably changed its urban planning and was inspired by the architectural design that prevailed at the time in the great European capitals.
Designed by the architect Juan Monserrat Vergés, The space occupied today by this 5-star hotel in Granada has a central courtyard of lights and two facades facing Gran Vía de Colón and Cetti Meriem Street. Originally, the building consisted of a basement floor where the bank’s safes and archives were stored, ,while the mezzanine floor served as an operating patio.
